Comparative sentences 2: “A 比 B + Adj + 一点儿 / 得多”
In Chinese, when making comparisons using 比 (bǐ), specific modifiers are placed directly after the adjective to express the degree of difference between two people or things:
Slight difference (a little / a bit): Adjective + 一点儿 / 一些
Significant difference (much / a lot): Adjective + 得多 / 多了
Negative Form: “A 没有 B (+ 这么 / 那么) + Adjective”
To form the negative of a comparative sentence, use 没有 (méiyǒu) rather than 不比. This structure means “A is not as [adjective] as B”. You can optionally add 这么 (zhème — so / this) or 那么 (nàme — so / that) before the adjective for emphasis.
