Set phrase “越来越”
In Chinese the pattern “越来越……” (yuèláiyuè...) shows that the degree of something changes as time goes on.
It is usually followed by:
an adjective;
or a verb of feeling or mental state.
Basic Structure
越来越 + Adjective / Psychological Verb

Key Rule
No further adverb of degree is placed before the adjective or psychological verb that follows 越来越.
So it is not used together with 很, 非常 or 特别.
