Comparison with 比 (2)
In a 比 comparison the adjective does not take degree adverbs like 很 or 非常. To strengthen it, 还 and 更 may be used.
The rule
❌ A + 比 + B + 很 / 非常 + adjective
✅ A + 比 + B + adjective
✅ A + 比 + B + 还 / 更 + adjective

Both strengthen the difference being compared.
Examples
我看网上说这个电影比那个爱情片更有意思。
I read online that this film is even more interesting than that romance.
这个电影 + 比 + 那个爱情片 + 更 + 有意思
this film + than + that romance + even + more interesting

爱情片很有意思。— The romance is very interesting.
这个电影更有意思。— This film is even more interesting.
今天比昨天更热。
Today is even hotter than yesterday.

Quick rule
In a 比 sentence, before the adjective:
❌ 很
❌ 非常
are not used.
But these are:
✅ 还
✅ 更
A + 比 + B + 还 / 更 + adjective
Meaning: A is even more … than B.
这个电影比那个爱情片更有意思。— This film is even more interesting than that romance.
今天比昨天更热。— Today is even hotter than yesterday.
奶茶比牛奶还好喝。— Milk tea is tastier still than milk.
