China's Valentine's Day — the Qixi Festival

The Qixi Festival, China's most romantic traditional holiday: the qiqiao custom and the legend of Niulang and Zhinü.

每年农历七月初七这一天是中国汉族的传统节日“七夕节”。

因为当天活动的主要参加者是少女，而节日活动的内容又是以“乞巧（穿针引线、做些小物品、摆上些瓜果）”为主，所以人们称这天为“乞巧节”或“少女节”、“女儿节”。
