Meaning

另外 has three uses: 1. Pronoun — “another”, “other”. 2. Adverb — “in addition”, “besides”. 3. Conjunction — “besides”, “furthermore”.

1. 另外 as a pronoun

另外 (+ 的) + Number + Noun

前(Qián)面(miàn)车(chē)有(yǒu)点儿(diǎnr)多(duō)，我(wǒ)们(men)走(zǒu)另(lìng)外(wài)一(yī)条(tiáo)路(lù)，不(bù)会(huì)迟(chí)到(dào)的(de)。
