A: 老板，西红柿怎么卖？Lǎobǎn, xīhóngshì zěnme mài?

Boss, how much are the tomatoes?

B: 四块五一斤，今天早上刚到的，特别新鲜。Sì kuài wǔ yī jīn, jīntiān zǎoshang gāng dào de, tèbié xīnxiān.

Four-fifty per half-kilo, they just arrived this morning, extra fresh.

A: 四块五太贵了吧？前面那家才卖三块八。Sì kuài wǔ tài guì le ba? Qiánmiàn nà jiā cái mài sān kuài bā.

Four-fifty is too expensive, isn't it? That stall up front only charges three-eighty.
